Abstract
Ojective To evaluate the postprocessing methods in inner ear and the diagnostic value by using 64 multi-detector CT.Methods Forty patients who suspected of inner ear disorders and performed temporal bone scanning by 64 MDCT were enrolled in this study. The images were reconstructed from raw data using sharp kernel algorithm with thickness of 0.6 mm,interval of 0.4 mm.The multi-planar reconstruction was used to demonstrate the structure of the semicircular canal, cochlea, and vestibule. Results On the reformmated images,78 lateral semicircular canals,79 posterior semicircular canals,78 anterior semicircular canals,80 vestibule were demonstrated clearly;meanwhile 6 cases of semicircular canal malformation,8 cases of cochlear malformation were demonstrated. Conclusion 64-detector MDCT multi-planar reconstruction can provide a clear view of the anatomic structure of the inner ear, thus it is very useful to the clinical procedure.
