Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of ozone treatment in the recurrence after lumbar disc herniation surgery. Methods:Ozone was injected beside the percutaneous lumbar disc and the paravertebral space. Results:Puncture success rate was 100%.The good results were obtained at an estimated puncture because of the difficulty of puncture approach in the fifth lumbar and first sacral disc in eight cases.52 patients were followed up for three and 24 months after the procedure The results were: excellent in 27 cases(52%),and good in 16 cases(31%),the total efficiency was is 83%.Conclusion:Ozone treatment is one of the effective methods in the treatment of recurrence after lumbar disc herniation surgery. It has a simple, reproducible, high cure rate and few complications.
