Abstract
The synthesis of the new regent 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-3-(5-chloropyridyl)-triazene(NPCPDT)and the color reaction of NPCPDT with zinc was reported. In the presence of the surface active agent TX-100 and in the Na 2B 4O 7-NaOH medium of pH 11.0,the reagent form ayellow complex with zinc in the molar ratio of 1∶2.The molar absorptivity is 2.42×10 5 L·mol -1·cm -1 by dual-wavelengh of 440 nm and determination wavelengh of 535 nm.Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0~0.48 mL.The method has been applied to the direct determ ination of zinc in human hair with satisfactory results.
