Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical significance of distribution of oxide synthase in congenital intestinal atresia. Methods: Immunohistochemical analysis of NOS small bowel from fifteen patients with congenital intestinal atresia was compared with ten patients with normal intestine(the control group) .Results: The density of NOS positive neurons in the nerve clutches of congenital intestinal atresia was lower than the control group(P﹤0.05). Conclusion: It's suggested that a lower production of NOS in the intestine may influence the function of atresic intestine.
