Advances in research on extraction and purification of yellow pigment in gardenia

Abstract
As a fine and widely used natural pigment,yellow pigment in gardenia has the efficacies of clearing heat and anti-inflammation,anticancer,cooling blood,reducing cholesterol and cholagogic effect.In order to provide more references for industrialization development and fully utilization of gardenia,the researches on extraction and purification of yellow pigment in gardenia were reviewed,and development direction of production techniques of yellow pigment in gardenia was pointed out.
