Analysis of the Reasons and Characteristics of Continuous Increase of Residence Saving in China

Abstract

After China adopted the reform and opening policy in the 1980s, China's residence saving has been increasing continuously, and the increasing rate is the highest one in the world. The objective of this paper is to illustrate the reasons of the increase of residence saving in China. In addition, we try to identify the characteristics of continuous increase of residence saving, to give suggestions to macro-control policymaking of the Chinese government.
