Application of real-time contrast enhanced ultrasonography under coded phase inversion mode in differentiated diagnosising focal liver lesions

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the value of real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS) in differentiated diagnosing focal liver lesions.Methods: Seventy patients with eighty-nine focal liver lesions underwent 2D scan,color-Doppler and real-time Sonovue-enhanced ultrasonography under coded phase inversion mode(CPI).A diagnostic score was given to each lesion before and after contrast injection.Seventy patients were diagnosed pathologically by surgery or needle biopsy. Results: Thirty patients with malignancies,before CEUS,only 20 lesions were definitely or tentatively diagnosed as malignant lesions.After CEUS,28 lesions were correctly diagnosed as malignant.The diagnostic accuracy of CEUS was 94%. Conclusion: Real-time CEUS technique may be an effective and reliable method for assessing focal liver lesions,and may be much valuable for the diagnosis of malignant liver tumor.
