Abstract

Based on the tech-innovation factors model and growth-innovation model for SMEs,the empirical study on 126 Listed SMEs in China shows that the more SMEs input tech staff and RD or tech improvement,and the effectiveness of innovation transformation is,the better tech-innovation of SMEs is.But tech-innovation does not influence SMEs' growth significantly on the examples examined.Among all the tech-innovation factors,SMEs are not good at innovation transformation mostly.Further more,tech-innovation didn't contribute enough growth to SMEs which it should.It is indispensable for SMEs to strengthen research-produce-sell synergy.At last,sales-oriented growth strategic direction couldn't bring sustained growth,so SMEs need to switch to tech-innovation-oriented growth strategic direction.
