Abstract
The concept of D-perfect autocorrelation sequences is prese nted, and t he theory of almost perfect autocorrelation sequence pairs is given on the basis of the D-perfect autocorrelation sequences. Some characters of the sequences ar e discussed, and the necessary conditions of existence are given. By using chara cters and the necessary condition of existence, the scope of searching the almos t perfect autocorrelation sequence pairs is reduced.
