For more comprehensive detection of GIS equipment on-site test,the impulse voltage test should be increased in the onsite acceptance test of GIS equipment based on the relevant rules.Oscillating impulse voltage waveform generator is designed complying with the provisions of IEC 60060-3,and the insulation defect models of different void dimension are made,and a partial discharge pulse measurement system under impulse voltage is set up.The paper studies the partial discharge properties of GIS insulation void defect under the impulse voltage,especially under the oscillating impulse voltage,compares the different characteristics of the partial discharge under different voltages,and analyzes the PD mechanism and process of the insulation void model under impulse voltage.It can be used as guidance for the high voltage GIS on-site testing under the oscillating impulse.
