Abstract
The hollow piers and cruciform piers of the Xiangzikou Bridge on Shiyan-Manchuanguan Expressway were constructed by means of the turnover formwork technique.This paper deals with the construction process and characteristics of the turnover formwork used for the Bridge,the causes leading to the offsetting of pier shaft axes in the construction process and the corresponding control measures against the offsetting.
