Comparison of the effect of Dantian Jiangzhiwan and fluvastatin on patients with hyperlipidemia

Objective To evaluate the effect of Dantian Jiangzhiwan and fluvastatin on patients with hyperlipidemia,and to observe the influence of Dantian Jiangzhiwan and fluvastatin on liver.Methods One hundred and twelve patients with hyperlipidemia were divided into two groups,fifty-two patients in Dantian Jiangzhiwan group were treated with Dantian Jiangzhiwan 2 g by mouth,twice a day,for six weeks.Sixty patients in fluvastatin group were treated with fluvastatin capsule 40 mg by mouth,once per night,for six weeks.Before and after treatment,the levels of serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total cholesterol(TC),triglyeride(TG),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C) were detected and compared in two groups.Results Compared with pretreatment,the levels of TC,TG and LDL-C significantly decreased after treatment(P0.05),but there was no significant change in HDL-C level in two groups(P0.05).After treatment,the level of TG in Dantian Jiangzhiwan group was lower than that in fluvastatin group(P0.05);but there was no significant difference in the levels of TC and LDL-C between two groups(P0.05).Before and after treatment,there was no significant difference in the levels of ALT and AST between two groups(P0.05).There was no significant difference in total effective rate between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Dantian Jiangzhiwan and fluvastatin can effectively adjust the lipid levels of patients with hyperlipidemia.Effect of Dantian Jiangzhiwan on decreasing the level of TG was better,and the price is low.
