Abstract
This article introduces briefly the practical method and discusses the problems of the operating process which should be paid to attention of MAPGIS geographic information system applied in geological mapping and the geochemistry data processing. Compared with the traditional cartography method, MAPGIS shows high efficiency, high accuracy and strong usability and so on, which have the broad application prospects in the geological work domain.
