Abstract

To observe the blood lead level and its correlation factors of children in Kunming,Gejiu, and Huize areas of Yunnan province, the blood lead level of 1 676 children aged 3 to 6 years old in 6 kindergartens of these areas was determined by electrochemistry analysis (static mercury-electrode)and the questionnaires about the influence factors of the blood lead level were completed at the same time. The results showed that the mean blood lead level was 147.34 μg/L and the prevalence rate of lead poisoning was 72.3%.It concludes the blood lead level of children is closely related to their living environment.
