The Long- distance Education Program for Special Education Teachers' Training in American Rural Areas

In order to solve the lack of special education teachers in rural area,teacher educators of America make full use of technology in variety of distance education,which includes four kinds of programs for cultivating special education teachers in rural area,aiming at making the preservice and inservice education programs more accessible to special education teachers.The main features of the programs are developing and making full use of modern network technology,focusing on course study and practical teaching,paying attention to supervision and observation on students,and being strict with the quality of course and practical teaching.
