Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of probiotics on Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis(SBP) in patients with Liver Cirrhosis.Method Sixty SBP patients were divided into two groups. The 30 patients in the control group were given treatments of anti-infection,liver-protection,lower portable hypertention, diuresis and nutritional support, while the 30 patients in the treatment group were given the same therapy plus an additional Zhengchangsheng capsule for 21 days. The variations in infection control and Hepatic function were compared between two groups.Result There were significant differences(P0.05) between two groups with regards to the disappear of fever and diarrhea, ascites analysis and improvement of hepatic function. Conclusion Probiotics has a certain therapeutic effect to SBP in liver cirrhosis.
