Analysis of the value for correction modified early warning score in blunt abdominal trauma

OBJECTIVE To investigate the value for correction modified early warning score in blunt abdominal trauma.METHODS The treatment and prognosis of 100 patients of the emergency blunt abdominal trauma admitted to the hospital emergency department from November 2008 to November 2011 were retrospective analyzed.The indicators of the period for diagnosis were taken for statistics.The early warning scoring system was corrected and improved with MEWS score.They were divided into five groups according to the scores(≤ 2 grouping,3-4 grouping,5-6 packet 7-8 group and ≥ 9 grouping).We analyzed the situation of inpatients(admitted to the ICU rescue,outpatient and specialist treatment)and each group of patients during the treatment of complications and a prognosis(rehabilitation,death)were taken for statistics.The value of early warning score in the treatment of emergency blunt abdominal trauma diversion was discussed.RESULTS The prognosis after a month MEWS score showed a lower mortality rate and higher recovery rate(P = ﹤0.05).The group ≤ 2 had the lowest mortality,h ≥ 9 group had the highest mortality.The infection,multiple organ failure,the risk of stress ulcers in the ≥ 9 group were significantly higher than grouping patients of ≤ 2.The treatment of patients with different correction MEWS score group showed that the correction MEWS score ≥ 9 grouping patients admitted to the ICU to rescue was significantly higher than patients with ≤ 2 packet,there was significant difference between the two groups(P﹤0.05).CONCLUSION Correction MEWS early warning score is simple and easy.It has important clinical value in the clinic for emergency blunt abdominal trauma patients for treatment triage prognostic evaluation.According to the results of the correction MEWS score,we can timely and accurate triage of patients,get more time for the treatment of patients,improve the clinical efficacy and reduce complications and mortality,and lay a good foundation for the subsequent rehabilitation.
