An Approach to Understanding Lu Xun

In the light of various depreciative views on Lu Xun for years,this paper attempts to enumerate and analyze numerous literary works of Lu Xun,including his novels,short stories,works on literary theories,academic writings and translated works.Moreover,a concrete comment is also made,in terms of social activities,on Lu Xun's contribution to China's Democratic revolution,especially his contribution to the Left-wing literary and artistic movement and revolutionary activities led by the Chinese Communist Party.It is pointed out that an objective comprehension and evaluation is presented of Lu Xun in this paper,that is,Lu Xun's great historical feats are affirmed realistically while his historical limitations and defects are also genuinely demonstrated.
