Abstract

The Ri plasmid of Agrobacterium rhizogenes can induce plants produce hairy roots.The basic characteristics of type,structure and genetic transformation of Agrobacterium rhizogenes and the introduced ways,identification technique and mechanism that it induces plants to come into bing hairy roots were expounded;research status of its induction of hairy root plants produce secondary metabolites were reviewed.
