Abstract

Water mist with its clean,harmless to human body,and fine fire performance characteristics,continues to be widely used.The simulation of different droplet diameter of water mist fire extinguishing process in a particular space is done by using FDS software.The results proves that the water mist diameter less than 100μm results in good quenching oil pool fire,while droplet diameter greater than 400μm when the mist does not have the ability to fire extinguishing oil pool.
