Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of invasive lobular breast cancer. Methods One hundred and forty five breast cancer patients confirmed by pathology, including 89 cases of invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) and 56 cases of invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), were retrospectively analyzed, and the sonogram and blood flow were comparatively analyzed. Results Shapes, margins and posterior echo features showed significant differences between ILC and IDC (P0.01). Conclusion Histological differentiation of breast carcinomas influences the sonographic characteristics. Ultrasound is highly valuable in the diagnosis of invasive lobular breast cancer and can remedy the deficiency of mammography.
