Properties Characterization of WC-CoCr Coating and Hard Chrome Plating on A-100 Steel

Abstract

WC-CoCr coating was sprayed on A-100 steel by HVOF.The microstructure,wear resistance and corrosion resistance of coating were characterized and compared with hard chrome plating.The results show that WC-CoCr coating by HVOF is superior to hard chrome plating coating on wear resistance and corrosion resistance.WC-CoCr coating by HVOF is fully qualified to be used as protective coating for landing gear application.
