Abstract
Objective:To observe the effects of Telmisartan the heart rate variability(HRV)of patients with essential hypertension. Methods:The different index of the heart rate variability(HRV) in 30 cases with essential hypertension was observed by means of 24 h ambulatory ECG before and after use of Telmisartan and other 30 cases with essential Hypertension as control. Results:After therapy Telmisartan SDNN,SDANNI,and SDNNI that represented total HRV and rMSSD and pNN50 that represented vagal function decreased(P0.01 and P0.05,respectively),.Conclusion:Telmisartan can not only reduce Hypertension and change symptoms, but also increase HRV and improve prognosis.
