Abstract

Halbach motor is a new type permanent magnetic(PM)motor.A sinusoidal field is produced by the special distribution of permanent magnets.The field can increase the air-gap flux while decrease the rotor yoke flux.The result can improve power density,increase efficiency and reduce volume of the motor.Insight research on Halbach array and Halbach motor have been done by finite element analysis of Ansys10.0,Finite element analysis and experiment results prove Halbach motor has more advantages than traditional PM motor.
