Abstract

Blind equalization is an adaptive equalization without resorting to a training sequence. The study is intended to overcome the detrimental effects of intersymbol interference caused by distortion of a communication channel. The object of this paper is to provide a practical introduction to blind equalization, which includes a description of the most widely referenced criterion—the maximum normalized cumulant criterion,a description and some discussion of simulated annealing algorithm. Finally, thesimulation of this algorithms is given.
