Function of Higher Vocational Public English Teaching in Developing Students' Professional Quality

Abstract

Based on understanding the connotation of professional quality,combining with the teaching practice the author mainly discusses that higher vocational English teaching can improve students' professional quality in five aspects,including professional awareness,career objective,work ethics,occupational psychology,career dedication.Moreover,the significance of carrier function of English teaching in developing students' professional quality is pointed out.In the end,some suggestions are put forward about how to strengthen vocational quality in English teaching.
