The Talking about Yanchuan(延川)Dialect's Attribution——Re-classification of Zhiyan(志延)Cluster

Abstract

According to the state of its four ancient tones'evolution,the Yanchuan dialect should belong to Fenzhou sub-cluster of Luliang cluster;and the Ansai dialect should belong to Wutai cluster.Then,the cluster of Zhiyan contains only five cities/counties of Yan'an,Yanchang,Ganquan,Zhidan and Wuqi,whose criteria of dividing dialect areas is that the pronunciation of the ancient ru-sheng tone becomes as ping-sheng tone today.
