Abstract

As wireless mobile network is usually unstable,it is necessary to study how to automatically adapt to bandwidth variation for the best result of video monitoring. H. 264 is a video coding standard with high compression ratio, which needs less bandwidth under the same conditions. RTP/RTCP are designed for real-time data transmission. In this system, the video captures terminal packages and sends H. 264 data with RTP,and it receives network transmission quality with RTCP,automatically adjusting transmission rate; the monitoring platform organizes and filters data received, and plays video correctly. Experimental result indicates that this design could achieve good results of video monitoring in wireless mobile network environment.
