Abstract
A study was carried out on the influences of the genotype, immature embryo length of maize and culture medium on the callus induction and culture by using maize immature embryo as experimental material. The results showed genotype was the main factor affecting immature embryo culture, and the immature embryo 1.0~2.5 mm in length was beneficial to the culture of calli; although six kinds of culture media used in the experiment had no difference in the frequency of producing callus from the immature embryo, they induced different types of callus, Pro and CH were beneficial to the formation of Type Ⅱ callus in the course of long term culture.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
