Abstract
Subjects were 62 patients with neck trauma and a lower respiratory tract infection at this hospital from December 2009 to December 2011.One hundred and eight-eight types of pathogens were isolated from sputum samples.Of these,126 strains(67.02%) were Gram-negative bacteria while 54 were Gram-positive bacteria(28.72%) and 16 were fungi(4.25%).Antimicrobial susceptibility testing indicated that Gram-positive bacilli were most susceptible to imipenem, cefotaxime, and vancomycin while Gram-negative bacilli were most susceptible to imipenem, amoxicillin, and cefotaxime.
