Abstract

Objective To provide the guidance for the treatment of severe traumatic brain injury through study of the clinical effects of surgical treatment of severe traumatic brain injury. Methods One hundred and fifty patients with severe traumatic brain injury in our hospital who were adopted in the observation group were given surgical treatment. Other 100 patients with traumatic brain injury in the same period who were adopted in the control group were given conservative treatment. Clinical effects of the patients in both groups were compared. Results The survival rate of the patients in the observation group( 76. 0% ) was higher than that of the patients in the control group ( 31. 0% ) ( P 0. 01) . The prognosis of patients in the observation group( 59. 6% ) was better than that of the patients in the control group( 16. 1% ) ( P 0. 01) . Conclusion Surgical treatment of severe traumatic brain injury can significantly increase the survival rate of patients and improve patients’prognosis.
