Abstract
Objective To explore clinical effect of lavaging lacrimal passage probe combined with ofloxacin on neonatorum dacryocystitis. Methods 136 neonatorum dacryocystitis were randomly divided into treatment group( 68 cases,74 eyes) and control group( 68 cases,75 eyes). Control group was given lavaging lacrimal passage probe only, while treatment group was given lavaging lacrimal passage probe combined with ofloxacin. The cure rate, number of probing, and intraoperative complications were observed and analyzed. Results The cure rates in treatment group and control group were 97. 3%,88. 0%,respectively,which was statistically different( χ2= 4. 71,P 0. 05). Compared with control group, the success rate by once probing was increased( χ2= 4. 87,P 0. 05). The complications in treatment group was 2. 9%,which was statistically lower than that in control group 16. 2%( χ2= 7. 03,P 0. 05). Conclusions It is safe and effective of lavaging lacrimal passage probe combined with ofloxacin for neonatorum, which has advantages of high cure rate, low repeating probing rate and low intraoperative complications.
