Abstract
Objective: To study the imhibitory effect of human telomerase activity by an antisense oligonucleotide against human telomerase RNA(hTR RNA) in Hep 2 cells.Methods: Telomerase activity of Hep 2 cells with antisense treatment was measured using the TRAP assay.Results: The telomerase activity was effectively inhibited by the antisense treatment.Conclusion: Antisense oligonucleotide against hTR can effectively inhibit the telomerase activity of tumor cells and subject is an effective and novel approach for treatment of malignant cancers.
