Abstract
National wetland parks and urban wetland park are important media to protect and develop urban wetlands in China. However, the concepts of wetland, urban wetland park and national wetland park are still not well-defined and it is difficult for the public to learn about the disadvantages of wetlands from newspaper or television reports. In order to avoid the misleading information in teaching programs and practice, this paper raise some questions about the concepts of wetlands, urban wetland park and national wetland park to inspire readers’ insightful perspectives. Due to the complexity of the wetland concept and wetland system, the study on the comprehensive development of wetlands will be a complicated and long-term process.
