Management and assessment of national wetland parks

Wetland park has become an important way in national wetland management and protection system in China.However,some problems concerning protection and management have occurred with the rapid development,and since lack of uniform regulations and principles,there is no effective control on wetland park design and management from the central government.To ensure the orderly and healthy development of national wetland parks,aiming at the problems exist in management,this paper puts forward an evaluation index system of national wetland park management,consisting of 6 items,i.e.wetland ecosystem,wetland environment quality,wetland landscape,infrastructure,management and additional scores,as well as 23 factors.And then,the weight of each factor,score evaluating range and specific quantitative assessing methods were presented to provide a substantial base for scientific management of national wetland parks.In the end,Xixi National Wetland Park,Zhejiang Province of eastern China and Yinchuan National Wetland Park,Ningxia of northwestern China were taken as case studies for wetland test-assessment.
