Abstract
[Objective] The research aimed to study the feasibility of biogas production using hami melon in a resource utilization way.[Method]Using hami melon as raw materials,the fermentation experiments were carried out at 30 ℃. Parameters of TS biogas production potential,VS biogas production potential,daily biogas output,biogas production rate and pH etc. were determined during experiments.[Result]The results showed that the total biogas production output of hami melon during fermentation experiment was 3 575 ml,TS biogas production potential was 782 ml /g( TS),VS biogas production potential was 874 ml /g( VS). Before and after the experiment,pH changed slightly,remaining within the suitable scope for fermentation. [Conclusion]This study proved that hami melon had good biogas production potential and could be used as raw materials for biogas production.
