Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect of multidisciplinary rehabilitation on post-stroke depression(PSD).Methods: 108 patients with PSD were divided into groups A,B and C.In group A,28 cases were treated only with routine medication;36 cases in group B received the kinesiotherapy;and 44 cases in group C were subjected to multidisciplinary rehabilitation treatment.Changes of scores of Hamilton depression(HAMD),Modified Edinburgh-Scandinavian Scoring Scale(MESSS),mimi-mental state examination(MMSE),and activity of daily living(ADL) before and after treatment in three groups were observed and evaluated. Results: After treatment for 8 weeks, the scores in group C were increased obviously, having a significant difference with those of other groups. Conclusion: Multidisciplinary rehabilitation could significantly improve the functions of patients with PSD.
