On the Election System of Han Dynasty

The system of examination and recommendation is the major ways of selecting officials in Han Dynasty.In different historical periods of Han Dynasty,the ways,realms,and contents of implementation of examination and recommendation system as well as their impact on society and history are different.As supplementary and subordinated ways of selecting officials,there were also some other ways such as being enlisted,being appointed by one's father,having candidateship after donating money,self-recommendation,entering officialdom after donating money or because of one's skills.The various ways of selecting officials in Han Dynasty have important influence and inspiration to the later generations.
