Abstract
The elliptic curve cryptosystem is far and wide used to encrypt information and construct digital signature scheme by its speciality. Also it can be used to construct the user authentication scheme. This paper proposes a new user authentication scheme based on the elliptic curve cryptosystem. The safety of this scheme is based on the elliptic curve discrete logarithm of non-supersingular elliptic curve over finite field which has no efficient attack method by now. The new scheme is secure in theory and is suitable for some practice.
