Abstract
As one of the key methodologies,the historical analysis is very important to the research on criminal justice.Using it on the current criminal justice is not to discover the Volksgeist',but to explore the rule of the formation of the criminal justice system,and the political,economical and cultural elements in the process of legal system.The methodology in criminal justice field can include the historical comparative study,historical social study and historical value study.These studies on the development of China criminal justice should be done according to different periods with apparent orientations,and by this way the beneficial factors would be found out which can be used for the current criminal justice.
