Abstract
Objective To explore the relevance between the acidic environment of vagina and vulvovaginal Candidiasis infected by Candida albicans. Methods Ninety-six strains from patients(June 2009 to March 2010) with Simple Gynecological Candida Vulvovaginitis(SVVC) were isolated and identified. The MIC of miconazole and clotrimazole under different pH value of environment were measured. Results The MIC of miconazole or clotrimazole was decreased under lower pH value. Conclusion Keep the acidic environment of vagina is beneficial to the treatment of vulvovaginal Candidiasis infected by Candida albicans.
