Abstract

Objective To know the effects of N-acetylcystein (NAC) on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Methods Total 32 patients who suffered from IPF were selected as the study objects. All of them were randomly divided into 2 groups: observation group and control group. Observation group were treated with NAC, while control group were treated with hormone. The clinical manifestation, pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas analysis were observed before and after treatment, and the adverse reaction was observed after treatment. Results ① The efficient rate of observation group was 82.35%,and that of control group was 80%. There was no statistical difference between the two figures(P0.05).② As far as PaO2、PaCO2、FVC、FEV1/FVC、MVV、DLco、DLco/VA were concerned, both group were better after treating. After treating, there was no statistical difference of that parameters between the two groups. ③ There was no drug adverse reaction in observation group. Conclusion NAC was a good treating methods for IPF patients.
