Abstract
Based on over 6 year operation experiences in No.5 blast furnace of TISCO,the author points out that the activity of furnace hearth can be found out clearly from following factors;relationship of furnace inner pressure,stability of gas flow and burden descending,stability of slag and iron heat,working status of tapping,furnace central temperature and hearth wall temperature.
