A Comparative Study on Physical Growth of Preschool Children in Suzhou

Abstract

Objective:To study the growth and development of preschool children Suzhou.Method:Assesment of growth and development was conducted in preshool children of Suzhou four kindergartens.Results:Increments of height and weight were 0. 1cm and 0. 8kg, and the obesity rate was 3.2% and increased by 1.8% compared with data from children of the same age five years ago.The body height of obese children was obviously lower than that of the thin children.Conclusion:Obesity might have a negative effect on height growth of preschool children.
