On The Color Expressions of William Carlos Williams' Poetry

Blending with the forms and principles of painting,William Carlos Williams' poems have striking vision effects and color is the most important factor.And color is one of the most important elements which construct the image of Williams' poems.Colors not only can accurately express the effect of visual art,but also can embrace and transmit the author's emotional feeling.William Carlos Williams,as a poet and colorist,used plenty of color words in his poems to transmit the emotional factors of color.This thesis analyses the aesthetic characteristics of Williams' poetry with the theory of color.
