Abstract
Objective This paper is to discuss the Compatibility of the direct examination of the glass, the colored photograph of the fundus and the fundus fluorescein angiography in different clinic stages so as to find an economic, convenient and effective method to check the diabetic retinopathy. Methods After distributing pupils,50 cases (100 eyes) have been checked with the methods of direct examination of the glass, the colored photograph of the fundus (30 degree 7 directions) and the fundus fluorescein angiography. Based on the 1987 Classification of the Chinese Medical Association Ophthalmological Society, all the images is to be analyzed and classified, and then the three kinds of the results are compared. Results With the methods of direct examination of the glass,23 eyes (23%) have been found not to get diabetic retinopathy,28 eyes (28%) are in stage I,17 eyes (17%) in stage II,24 eyes (24%) in stage III,8 eyes (8%) in stage IV. With the 7 direction photograph,6 eyes (6%) have been found not to have diabetic retinopathy,28 eyes (28%) are in stage I,4 eyes (4%) in stage II,20 eyes (20%) in stage III,41 eyes (41%) in stage IV,1 eyes (23%) in stage V. With fundus fluorescein angiography,6 eyes (6%) have been found without diabetic retinopathy,26 eyes (26%) are in stage I,6 eyes (6%) in stage II,19 eyes (19%) in stage III,42 eyes (42%) in stage IV,1 eyes (1%) in stage V. The direct examination of the glass and the fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) show distinguishing difference in the distributions of clinic diagnose (card value =34.273,P0.01),while the 7 direction photograph and the fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) have no difference (Z=-0.161,P=0.87,P0.05). Conclusion The 7 directions colored photograph of the fundus can be taken as a good and reliable method to check and guide the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, and the examination of fundus fluorescein angiography can be earlier and more exact to check and diagnose the angiography.
