Observations on the Clinical Effect of Combined Scalp and Body Acupuncture on Apoplectic Sequela

Abstract
Purpose To investigate the curative effect of combined scalp and body acupuncture on apoplectic sequela and sift out an optimal treatment. Methods Ninety-six patients were randomly divided into a scalp-body acupuncture group of 36 cases, a scalp acupuncture group of 30 cases and a body acupuncture group of 30 cases. The effects were compared after 6 courses of treatment.Results The curative effect was better in the scalp-body acupuncture group than in the scalp acupuncture group or the body acupuncture group.Conclusion Combined scalp and body acupuncture is superior to a simple treatment in the treatment of apoplectic sequela.
