Abstract
The development situations of variable intake swirl technology for diesel engine are reviewed in this paper. Two type of double butterfly valve were designed by authors to induce and adjust intake swirl in 1150G diesel engine with non-swirl inlet ports. The comparative experiments had been carried out at natural aspiration and high boost pressure. The experimental results showed that variable intake swirl could reduce specific fuel consumption, specially at low speed and load conditions.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
