Abstract
Based on the newly designed 1132Z single cylinder diesel engine,a set of variable intake swirl system was developed, including the development of variable swirl intake manifold, the variable swirl actuating mechanisms and the ECU based on the AduC812 MCU.Optimization control of the intake swirl intensity was realized in order to fit the different engine working conditions. The performance test was carried out on the 1132Z engine experiment rig.Its results showed that the fuel consumption and the exhaust smoke could be reduced markedly at the maximum torque working condition.
