Abstract

Objective To master the data about fructose, lactose and sucrose in commercial infant formula milk powder, and investigate the illegal behavior of additional fructose into infant formula food. Methods The samples were selected randomly, and a chromatography method was developed for the determination of glucose, fructose, lactose and sucrose in infant formula powder. After disposing, four substance were analyzed by high performance anion exchange column(HPAEC) as splitter, Na OH as eluent, gradient elution, pulsed amperometric detection(PAD), qualitative analysis with retaining time, and quantitative analysis with external reference method. Results The results indicated that no case of illegal addition of fructose was found in the samples, Conclusion The quality of formula milk powder for infant was generally favorable.
